Fujairah University successfully convened a high-level strategic workshop today focused on strengthening institutional effectiveness, governance, and quality assurance systems. The workshop reflects the University’s ongoing commitment to aligning its academic and administrative operations with national and international standards.
The session was held under the esteemed presence of the University President, Dr. Sulaiman AlJassim, demonstrating the institution’s strong leadership commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. In his remarks, the President commended the efforts of all participants and urged everyone to continue striving with dedication and perseverance in achieving the University’s strategic goals.
The workshop was officially opened with inspiring remarks by Professor Mohamed AlShami, Vice President of the University, who highlighted the importance of strategic alignment, innovation, and evidence-based performance in achieving institutional objectives.
The workshop was led by Dr. Burton Aggabao, Director of Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness Affairs, who facilitated a comprehensive review and validation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The discussions focused on ensuring KPI relevance within the Outcome-Based Evaluation Framework (OBEF), assessing the appropriateness and measurability of targets, and verifying evidence-based accomplishments for the 2025–2026 academic cycle.
The event was attended by heads of academic and administrative units, fostering collaborative engagement to ensure alignment of operational plans with the requirements of the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR), and the Crown Prince Office (CPO) Strategic Management System.
This strategic initiative underscores Fujairah University’s dedication to institutional excellence, data integrity, and compliance with national and international quality frameworks. The outcomes of the workshop will contribute to enhancing performance reporting, supporting informed decision-making, and ensuring sustainable institutional growth.
