The College of Business Administration at Fujairah University successfully organized a strategic workshop titled “Innovating Green Finance Strategies for Financial & Industrial Ecosystem.” The event brought together leaders from the banking sector, industry experts, policymakers, and academics to explore innovative solutions that support sustainability and long-term economic resilience.
The workshop was attended by Professor Mohamed AlShami, Vice President of Fujairah University, who delivered the opening remarks on behalf of the University President, Dr. Sulaiman AlJassim. In his address, he emphasized the importance of advancing green finance and strengthening universities' role in promoting sustainable development, green economy practices, and environmental responsibility.
The event was also honored by the presence of Dr. Corrien Van Belkum, Director of Academic Affairs, along with distinguished guests from banking institutions, industrial organizations, and government entities.
Dr. Ahmed Zain Elabdin, Dean of the College of Business Administration, welcomed the dignitaries and participants and outlined the workshop's objectives and theme. He highlighted the university’s commitment to fostering collaboration between academia and industry to address emerging economic and environmental challenges.
The main presentation was delivered by Dr. Priyanka Verma, a faculty member at the CBA, who provided in-depth insights into innovative financial mechanisms and sustainable strategies that can strengthen the financial and industrial ecosystem. The session was followed by an interactive discussion in which participants contributed valuable perspectives and professional experiences that enriched the dialogue and strengthened the workshop outcomes.
The workshop reaffirmed Fujairah University’s commitment to advancing national and global sustainability goals and to promoting applied knowledge that drives responsible economic growth and innovation.
