Fujairah University Records a Landmark 18% Growth in Student Enrollment as the New Academic Year Begins

Fujairah University announced an approximate 18% increase in student enrollment for the 2025/2026 academic year, compared to the previous year. This reflects the growing confidence of the community in the university and its academic programs, especially after launching new majors aligned with the UAE’s higher education vision and labor market needs.

The university also confirmed that it is moving forward with the implementation of a comprehensive development project in the main building, expected to be completed in October, with the official opening scheduled for November, following the final preparations.

Dr. Suleiman Al Jasem, President of Fujairah University, expressed his pride in the significant rise in admissions across the university’s various colleges and programs this year. He stated: “The growing demand to join Fujairah University confirms the academic standing it has achieved locally and regionally. It also reflects the quality of its programs and their alignment with labor market requirements. The university remains committed to advancing academic and research excellence in line with the vision of Fujairah and the UAE.”

He emphasized that the development and modernization of the campus building falls within the university’s strategic vision to provide an integrated learning environment, equipped with modern classrooms, laboratories, and facilities that support the academic process, turning the university into a hub attractive to students.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Al Shami, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, confirmed that the growth in enrollment highlights the university’s success in attracting students across different majors. He added: “We constantly work to enhance a motivating and integrated educational environment, supported by advanced academic and administrative services, to ensure the best learning experience for our students, contributing to graduating qualified professionals who support the nation’s development.”

He further pointed out that the rise in student numbers coincides with the university’s efforts to expand its academic offerings and strengthen local and international partnerships, reinforcing its position as a leading educational institution in the UAE. He noted that the upcoming new academic programs will be a qualitative addition to the current ones, which include:

  • College of Business Administration: Bachelor’s in Management, Accounting & Finance, Business Analytics, Supply Chain & Logistics Management; Master of Business Administration; Master in Entrepreneurship.

  • College of Engineering & Technology: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Networks & Cybersecurity, Data Science; Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (AI, Electronics & Communications, Power & Renewable Energy); Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (Cybersecurity); Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence Applications.

  • College of Arts & Humanities: Bachelor’s in Mass Communication (Public Relations), Psychology, Sociology & Social Work; Master in Sociology.

  • College of Dentistry & Health Sciences: Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Pharmacy, Nursing; Diploma in Dental Assisting (accredited by NQC); Internship Training Program (accredited by NIHS).

  • College of Law: Bachelor of Law; Master of Law in Cybersecurity.
