The College of Engineering and Technology at the University of Fujairah proudly participated in the Fujairah International Conference on Bee Research – 2nd Edition, held on February 9–10, 2026, in Fujairah. The event was organized by the Fujairah Environment Authority with scientific support from the Fujairah Research Centre.
A group of students from the College of Engineering and Technology, accompanied by faculty members and the Dean of the College, attended the conference and actively engaged in various activities, particularly those related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in honey research and environmental sustainability.
The conference brought together more than 50 international experts from over 20 countries, along with representatives from governmental authorities, research centers, and universities. It focused on key themes such as AI applications in traceability, authenticity, pollen profiling, and smart technologies in beekeeping.
On the second day, students actively participated in the Guinness World Record attempt for the Largest Honey Pollen Workshop, where they contributed to hands-on activities including pollen classification, microscopy, and AI-supported analysis. Their participation provided valuable practical experience in applying AI technologies to real-world environmental and scientific challenges.
The students’ engagement highlighted the University of Fujairah’s commitment to advancing innovation, experiential learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration in emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence. All participating students received certificates recognizing their contribution to the success of this prestigious international event.
